PEACE OF MIND BEFORE YOU SIGN

Without a current report, you won’t know if you’re overpaying for homeowners’ insurance.

Wind Mitigation Inspection

Before issuing a new policy, Insurers require a wind mitigation inspection on homes built before March 1st, 2002, to assess any vulnerabilities to wind and storm damage, as well as apply any discounts (required by law) for improvements to key areas of the home that minimize or prevent damage.

Current policyholders who’ve made improvements to these areas of their home may likely be overpaying and not getting mitigation credits (discounts required by law), without properly documenting and voluntarily submitting a current report.

Undocumented and improperly reported home improvements cost policy holders up-to 22% more for insurance annually according to the Florida Department of Financial services.
